best powder measure?

which mechanical powder measure is best for throwing rifle powders? i use alot of imr 4895 and 10x powders.any suggestions?thanks

I hate to answer in this manner, But; unless you are doing national level bench rest then any of the powder measures will work fine for you.

RCBS, Hornaday and Lee all have good stuff. The basic premise is to accurately control a VOLUME of powder in a repeatable manner. They all do very well for the average shooter.

bpost1958's comment may not be appreciated by some, but the 'best' list is growing with no repeats. Like all 'volume based' powder measures, being consistent from throw to throw is what you need. Most will do that. I use a Lyman I have had for 25+years.

The shape and orientation of the 'adjustable volume' can make one model throw one powder style better than another (flake, round, cylider, etc.). But after a little practice with set-up and techniques, most will do the job (I use IMR powders often, and my Lyman tosses consistent amounts).

Get a good quality measure that you like. Have a scale to adjust or check your loading. Be consistent, careful, and ENJOY !!!

Ditto on the Belding & Mull!! The most accurate with stick powders. Some of the others don't cut the stick powders very good.
