federal gold medal powder?

anybody know what powder is used in the federal gold medal 168gr 308 load?i tore 1 down and weighed it,43.0gr of stick powder.i compared it too imr 4395,reloader15,varget.it is longer rods than all of those.i know its the 168gr sierra matchking bullet,fed brass and fed match primers.any help is apprec.thanks don

    It is a cannister powder formulated specifically for Federal to use in the .308 GMM loads. But it is not available to the general public. It has always been similar to IMR-4895, so similar in fact that it is one of the most popular powders used to create accuracy loads for the .308 Match. You can also use Re-15, Varget, IMR-303, Norma 203B, V V N-540/140 and Ramshot Big Game.

    With a little bit of work and effort, you too can have an accuracy load comparable to the FGMM without paying the retail price.
