Lapua 7.62 X 53 brass question

I picked up 100 rounds of 7.62 by 53 rimmed Lapua ammo at a rummage sale. Can I use this in a Russian chambered for 7.62 X 54R ? I seem to remember that they are one in the same, but not sure....JD

Technicly the cartridge is a 7.62x53.5R, The russians rounded up, and the finns and sweed's rounded down.

IOW they are the exact same cartridge
