12 Gauge reloads

rogue_robrogue_rob Member Posts: 7,033 ✭✭✭
hey guys, got a question.

What recipe could be used for 12 Gauge, Peters Blue magic hulls, Clays Powder, and Win209 Primers? I'm wanting to try out 7/8 oz loads. I have been using 1 oz.

Im loading on a MEC 600 loader.

Shooting a Beretta A303 or a Beretta 687 Silver Pigeon II

Any input is appreciated. Thanks

I don't have access to my lyman manual but the blue magic hulls are compatible with one of the current Remington hulls (STS ???). The data should be interchangable. The first loading I ever did was with those hulls when they were still on the market.

Shooter 2 gave you the answer, I load the same thing in Blue magic as I do in AA winchester, On the same press. I still have gobs of blue magic hulls, I got more loads out of them than I do Winchester's, But I get 24 reloads out of the Remington SST.[:D]

Yep, Blue Tragics load just like the regular Rem trap/skeet hulls (and Tin AA's for that matter).
Speaking of Tragics, watch out for burn damage on the inside, just below where the base of the wad will sit (once you hear the whisle and extract 1/3 of a shell you'll know what I'm talking about). At least it dosn't hurt your gun.

Some guys like a mag full of lead, I still prefer one round to the head.
