About 18-20 gr of SR 4759 should get you there.

Thanks for the loading data. I was wondering if there are any loads for slower burning powders? I like the Accurate Brand such as 8700, 3100, 2700, 2520, 1680 etc. Thanks again for the help.

30 grains of XMR-2015 or 27 grains of 1680 should put you where you want to be.

Thanks! I'm really glad for the help. I have 2 cans of 1680 so I am really thankful. Have you ever tried the 311284 for a hunting bullet?
Was wondering if it would also work in the 30-30? Should make a load like the old 303 Savage?

I don't cast my own bullets, so I have never personally used this bullet for hunting, but I know quite a few guys who use the big heavy lead bullets for shooting big bore sihouette. Big and slow means tolerable recoil with good knock-down in that game.
