You can cover a mag full with a $0.50 piece off sand bags at 25 yds.That's with Winchester Super-X 230gr.JHP

also is a 3inch barrel considered a officers or commander? is one of these names mean its a 4 inch? i want to buy a holster for it. and want to know what fits what.

another question too "dcs" do i need a certain kind of holster since it has the "Crimson Trace" laser site. will any kind work with it?

That's the nice thing about the C-T Lasers, they fit in any holster for a 1911. If you have the 3in. bbl. it is a "officer" size.
