RCBS Model 90 is as good as it gets if you can find one.
Shop around, they are out there.

i'm normally a rcbs guy when it comes to reloading, i bought the lyman digital scale/thrower because i found it about 100 bucks cheaper and havent had any problems out of it whatsoever, even after a few hours of constant running, everywhere from 6.6 grs of pistol powder to 70+ grs of rifle powder.... works for me... my .02

RCBS=PACT. The new RCBS is supposed to have some better features, so I would say your search is over (if it were me). I payed like $260 for my PACT when they were the newer upgraded versions just coming out,..so if the RCBS is even equal and not slightly better, that $219 is a great price. You will be amazed at how much time it saves you and how little variance your charges will have.

Mine is one of the tools I consider a "best purchase" of the multitude of things on my bench.

I did find the Lyman 1200 DP II for 219 as well.

Only feature that I see better than the RCBS...100 load memory. Is that not what the reloading "bible" is for?

it is just as easy to enter the load as it is to enter the memory number, so I find that a mute point. The Lyman is bested by both the Pact and the rcbs in every thread and article I have read. I would not know personally, but I am betting much improvement over the pact I have would be tough to acheive. I threw 6 charges at 42gr, 3 at 42.5gr, 3 at 43gr, 3 at 43.5gr and 3 at 44.0gr last night in about 15minutes while I labeled each tube with tape and labels (loads for savage muzzleloader) It throws charges as fast as you can seat the bullet and check for runout. When you set it in the box, the next charge is sitting there waiting for you.[;)]

    do a search at www.accuratereloading.com and www.snipershide.com
there are a few guys testing the new RCBS against the Pact and also posting links to articles and other tests.

JustC...thanks for the info. I am really looking for the time savings, more than anything.

My loading consists primarily of trying different powder/bullet combinations in my military surplus and my 223...of course I want the powder weight to be spot on....but the time is killing me.

I believe I will be going with the RCBS.

    Thanks!

    dcloco

For what its worth I use the RCBS powder dispenser and scale 1500.
Never tried the others didnt really like the balance scale idea.

Ive been loading ultra mag rifle and (yes takes a lot of powder) very acurate and fast I love it pretty cool tool
