correct load for 16 guage

I just purchased a Acier Bayard 16 guage dbl hammergun manufactured approximately 1900 - 1913. Exc. condition. I know not to shoot new loads in it. Any suggestions on reloading will be awesomly appreciated.

Thanks,

Gunny[^]

16 is my favorite size; shot weights go from 1 to 1 1/8 oz. I'm not familiar with the make of your gun, but I'd guess it would be safe with about 2 1/2 drams equivlnt of black powder substitute.

My loading data from Hodgdon shows GR.60 pyrodex "CTG"card and filler and 1 1/8 oz shot gives 1095 velocity 5800 L.U.P.tks hedge
P.S would suggest having barrels rung before shooting.
