240gr LRN, 215gr SWC both work well. Load to 44spl velocities (better yet load them into 44spl cases). Cast your own, dosn't get much milder or cheaper than that.

Some guys like a mag full of lead, I still prefer one round to the head.

I use a 200 grain Lead flat point. About 5 grains of nearly any of the fast pistol or shotgun powders work well, and give about 7-800 fps. I am currently using Solo 1000, but have used clays and bullseye also.

I have used uniquue powder in the past 8.2grns witha 216 gr semi wad cutter. Was looking to do some plinking and safe some cash at the same time.

I have loaded unique down to 7.2 grains with a 200, it works, but starts getting dirty fast.

It does get really dirty fast. Can you load 44 special data in a 44 mag case? Who makes the Solo 1000?
Correct me if im wrong but you can shoot 44 sp or 44 mag from a 44 mag pistol is that right?

YOu can use 44 special data, but have to add an extra .5 to 1 grain to make up for the greater case capacity. Solo 1000 is from Accurate.
