Question on Lee Carbide 4-die sets

OK all, I need some feedback.

I'm looking at getting the Lee carbide 3-die set for .38/.357. After more research, I can't decide if I should go ahead with that or get the delux 4 die set (with the crimper).

Is that 4th worth it?

I can always get the 3 die set and get the 4th later, but would like to know ya'lls thoughts.

Get the 4 die set. The 4th die is cheaper with the set. It is about 9 bucks alone. Also a very good idea.

Never found I NEEDED the crimp die but it's nice to have should I choose to use it.

I own a set of Lee 4 die set, carbide, with Tapper crimp for my 45ACP. They work great for me. Its nice to have that extra crimp die sometimes.

You definetly want the crimp die.

In a straight walled revolver case it is very important to get a good crimp so the bullets don't back out of the case on recoil. I used to seat and crimp in the same die. I then decided to try the Lee crimp die. It makes a big difference if you crimp in a seperate dedicated die. You definitly want the crimp die.

According to the instructions the extra crimp die should give you a good crimp even if your cases vary a little in length. Slightly better for this reason. I like the 4 die set in auto pistol cartridges because it gives a final taper crimp after the bullet is fully seated.
