I have just purchased a Beretta 84 in 380acp, I have not tried but does anyone know if it might be possible to reload the 380 using 9mm dies in the Dillon SDB press? I reload 32 SW short with the Dillon SDB and 32 SW long dies. Thanks for any info.

9mm Luger is a tapered case, with a relatively thick wall. OD .381" at the mouth
380 is a straight walled case with a relatively thin wall. OD .372" at the mouth
The twist to this comes in that Dillon makes no provision for the 9 luger being tapered, and uses a straight sizing ring. I expect it will not adequately size the cases to hold most bullets, you might get away with this using slightly oversized lead bullets.
I have tried it using properly made 9mm dies and it just didn't work.
The 380 case is shorter by .074
length isn't the biggest problem.
