I have 47 lbs of brass that has been sitting in my garage for several years. Its mixed rifle, handgun. all reloadable. Can any body tell me what current brass prices are by the pound??

Thanks

Seems like brass prices are up but can't get a decent bid on 510 3030 new nickel shells!!! [see reloading supplies] includes 450 plus once fired brass shells and only bid is for one third of price for nickel alone. Simply amazing well still got 3 days to go so who knows, just venting my frustration. This probably doen't belong in the forum, but here is where people go to vent rcbsman

Stock market is putting the brakes on lots of stuff. Things aren't selling as fast or for as much as they were a month or two ago. Perhaps you would have been better breaking it up as most people may not want that much. I don't have a 30-30 so I can't help you out. Good luck on getting a good price for it!

Some "calibers" are real slow movers, 30-30 being one of them. 9mm Para and 40 S&W are a couple of others.
For brass to sell quickly and for a decent price it needs to be something other than what you can pick up by the bucket load at every range in the country AND it has to be something that people want.
Now, if you had 500 S&W brass, RUM or Weatherby brass etc, you would see a lot higher bid volumes and bid prices.

I am selling 7.62 NATO and 30-06 Lake City nad Franford Arsenal Match Brass here at Gun Broker nad doing pretty well. I luagh every time I sell it because ebay those scum bags booted me off for it. Thats OK I'll share with Gun Broker all day long. I think it is teh type of brass more than anything 30-30 especially in that amount will always go short break it up and you'll make more people happy and you'll make a few bucks to pour into teh next gun you want to buy. Just my .02 worth.
