estate hulls, same as federal?

bobskibobski Member Posts: 17,868 ✭✭✭
i have about 5000 estate 12ga hulls once fired. i hate to toss them, so if i can load them up as a substitute for the federal plastic gold medal hull, i can use a 7/8oz receipe in them with the 12SO wad. am i good to go? any advice on the estate hull?

An estate hull is a federal hull

you can use what ever federal recipe you have and it should be fine.

the plastic is good for 4-5 loadings just keep in mind the paper base wad can come out after a loading or two so you will want to cull the trice fired hulls for any that show signs of the base wad cracking or separating.

    12ga estates

    not much[V]

    2/5 cents a piece maybe???

12ga is the least expensive once fired hull
NOW if they were 28ga you could possibly get 10-12 cents a piece if the right joe saw them and wanted them

Check out reloading here on GB search for Estate hulls there are 3 auctions up and running now that will give you an idea of there value if they end up selling
