i know where a Marlin 1881 38-55
is the guy wants $650.00 for it
for its age it is in GOOD shape

what black powder would you use?
and where would you get the casings?
whoul they be paper or brass?

    Hello 38/55 is available and are brass cases. go to "midway" or other supplier or look at ammo rifle on this web site I would load with a smokeless powder not BLACK. IMR make powders that are made for older guns.
