Best scope for a Ruger Frontier Rifle?

woodybr549woodybr549 Member Posts: 40 ✭✭
Does anyone have a Ruger Frontier Rifle that is scoped. Ruger calls for an intermediate eye relief scope. Would that be a Leupold for instance with around 4.5 inches or something more like a handgun scope? The scope would mount in front of the receiver, so how much eye relief do I need and what would be a good choice in optics? Thankyou

burris makes the scout scope. i saw one the other day where the person mounted a scope on it like a normal 77, but they had to get different rings because the ones that came with it won't fit on the reciever. i asked why they bought the scout gun and put that on it and they said they wanted the gun in 300 short mag. i would say burris would be the way to go.

Thankyou for the info. I will see what Burris offers. Holiday Inn Express, beats a tent.
