Does anyone have a good starting load/ max for IMR 4759 in 7.5x55 Swiss? Thanks,

    What weight bullet?

Mine like 17 gr with a 200 gr cast lead.

A good plinker load; max would be something like 21 gr for that bullet weight. THIS IS FROM MEMORY- I'm sure on the load I use but not the max.

With what bullet? I shoot some reduced-power loads with the Swiss 7.5, but not so far with SR4759. The powder SR4759 is designed as a high-bulk powder, to take up space in the case, and I use it often for cast-bullet loadings. I haven't found a suitable cast bullet yet for the Swiss K-31 due to the dimensions of the throat, etc., though I suspect there are some out there.

I am hoping to use 150 grain jacketed bullets, although I could easily use 130, 165, or 180 grain as well. I'm looking for an accurate target load for 100 yd slow fire.

Well I'd start at about 18 gr for a 150 gr bullet.

Keep in mind that this is a powder not normally used for full power rifle loading. It can be used as a reduced rifle powder with much success though- just know that you are probably not going to break 2000fps. It will be very mild, have a ratherer curved ballistic path, and probably shoot low, requiring generous raising of the sights. May or may not be accurate- you just have to try.

For full power loads I use BLC2 or IMR 4895.
