    Which color coding is the AP ammo?

    The yellow color coded bullets generally weight 180 grs, which is the "heavy ball" for this cartridge. The silver color or no color code is the so called "light ball" that is in the 150 gr range, these are almost always steel core. You may also see some with the yellow and silver color that means heavy ball with a steel core.
