Pistol Primers

ArbyArby Member Posts: 668
I have an over abundace of large pistol magnum primers (CCI 350)and I was wondering if I could use them to reload 45 ACP.

The book says that magnum primers are used for slower burning powders. I load 6.0 gr of Unique behind 230 gr FMJ ball. Would I have any problems using the CCI 350 primers in the application?

Thanks

I have used them in the 45 ACP. Your load is my favorite plinking load. You may want to drop the charge by about .2 grains to compensate for the mag primer.

You will be fine using them.
