Need .220 Swift Loads

Just got a Ruger MK II M77 in .220 Swift. Any good loads to try? Has a 26" bull barrel, and its stainless if that makes any difference. Not sure of the twist rate? Thanks Robert

With that 26" tube you might lean toward the slower burn rate powders in the manuals. IMR 4064 is a popular number but something like IMR 4350 might be a winner, too.

    I run RL15 under a 50gr v-max with fed 210M primers.

Norma brass; primer pocket uniformed, flash hole deburred, neck reamed in a die not trimmer reamed or outside turned. Federal match primers; 210M. IMR 4350 powder; 42.5gr. Hornady bullet; 52gr A-Max. Neck sized and loaded to 2.763 OAL. This load shoots 2's in my Ruger 77KMVT. Haven't chronographed it, don't care. Hope this helps.

A friend of mine gave way from using 60 gr. Noslers to 53 gr. Barnes. Still uses IMR 4064 though. He is working with VV N135 and N140 as some of his peers shoot well with those at that bullet weight.

Mine is a Ruger M77, 26" varmint barrel. As above, Reloader 15, 50g Vmax and Fed 210 primer is my standard load. The difference between RL 15 and IMR 4064 is so close, though, it may be good series or bad series for the shooter doing the comparison.
