So to load 7.62 Nato (7.62x51) do I just buy 308 winchester components and use load data for lower pressure or what???

Yes, .308 components will work just fine when reloading 7.62 military brass, but military brass is thicker than commercial brass and thus have slightly less internal capacity.

For that reason most reloading manuals instruct to reduce powder charges by 10% when using military brass.

Try using IMR 4064 with the old standby 147 grain bullet. I'm dropping 41.3 grains of it and am getting fist size groups at 100 yards with a 16" springfield Socom16.
