Measuring trigger pull

When measuring trigger pull is 16oz a pound or is it 12oz?

I know this is a stupid question but I cant remember

And is 32oz. safe for a Savage mod 12 fvss with the accutrigger? This was the factory setting I have not adjusted it

16 oz = 1 pound What is safe depends on the shooter Remington has a 2 OZ trigger for their match rifles BUT I would not want that on a hunting rifle in cold weather.

perry shooter has it covered. As to the trigger pull weight on a hunting rifle is concerned; it depends greatly on yourself, I feel comfortable with 1 1/2 lbs. Some individuals might not feel secure with anything less than 4 lbs, others might prefer a heavier trigger yet.
