powder for a 22-250

I am loading for a buddy's Kimber m 84 varmint and need some suggestions for powder

I have H 414
IMR 3031
H 380
H 4895
Varget
W 748
IMR 4064

Any powders that I don't have listed that anyone would recommend I tried Varget 34 - 38 gr in .5 increments and seated .030 off of the lands.

I use Varget with great results in my Rem 700VS. I shoot in weather extremes sometimes and I like the fact that Varget is not heat sensitive. H380 is also a good 22-250 powder and was developed for the 22-250. It is called H380 because the owner of Hodgdon used 38.0 grains of this then unnamed powder with a 52g bullet as his pet load. I personally got a slight bit more accuracy out of Varget.

I like a 52gr HPBT WITH 42GR OF H 414 fills the case and is very accurate for me but to each rifle its own.

I use 38.5 gr of h380 w/ 55gr Vmax
shoots minute of odawgp for me

45gr of varget with 36gr varmit grenade

Personally, my 22-250 likes H380 way more than the 3-4 other powders I tried, but you should really ask your rifle.

38.9gr of W760, Win cases, Fed 215 primers and 55gr VMAX does pretty well for me.



This is a max load! It shoots great at temps below 40 IN MY RIFLE. I accidently shot one in my rifle league shoot last week OOPS! Smashed the primer FLAT. I generally use 37.8 for the summer rifle league.

I like H380 because it meters nice through the powder measure.
38 grs. H380, 50 gr. Nosler Ballistic Tip, Rem. 9&1/2 primer works great in 700 rem. sporter.
