reddnekreddnek Member Posts: 1,552 ✭✭✭✭✭
I just purchased a bunch of reloading supplies from a guy here in town thats giving up reloading. Included was a nearly full can of IMR 4320 which he said was his favorite for 270 with 150 grain bullet. Has anybody used this???? Anybody have a good starting load???

I have not used IMR4320 in .270 but I have used it for several years in the 8x57mm mauser which great success. I especially like it with the Sierre 175 grain and the Speer 170 grain bullets. James

It's good stuff. I don't have a 270 but it does well for me in the 30-06, on which the 270 is based. It's a tad slower than 4064 and a bit faster than 4350 so it is a bolt action powder generally speaking. I'd wager you can get a load off of www.imrpowder.com
