Chokes and barrel lengths

Could someone run down the recommended chokes and barrel lengths for various types of shooting (skeet, trap, sporting, doves, etc.)??
THanks

Skeet, between Cyl and Imp Cyl (skeet chokes are between those 2)
Trap, Mod IM and full, depending on how far back you are
Sporting clays, depends on the station, I've seen 1 or 2 stations that called for 1 barrel cyl and 1 barrel full (rare, but can happen)
Doves, I'd look at using something in the IC to Mod range, unless their staying high, and than move to IM and full.

Barrel length, for all the above is what feels comfortable for you to swing. Shorter barrels tend to start moving faster, but can also lead to "bouncing" and stopping your swing thereby causing a miss, while long barrels take longer to get moving, the also tend to keep moving and swing steady without bouncing.
A lot of skeet shooters are moving into the 30" range, just for that reason.

Barrel length has nothing to do with "range" or pattern, that's all controled by the choke(s) (for the same shotsize). Barrel length does have a lot to do with balance and sighting plane length.
