.223 and 5.56

Can I use the same load data for .223 in 5.56 cases. I read an article in The American Rifleman magazine that says you shouldn't
do it because of increased pressures in the 5.56 cases with .223
loads because the outside dimensions are the same but the inside
dimensions are different. So I took some commercial Winchester and Remington cases and some Lake City military cases and weighed each one, then filled them with water and weighed them again. The difference in the weight between any of them is one tenth of a grain. So what gives? I have alot of military brass I hate to dump,
unless I can find loads for 5.56 cases. Can anyone help me on this
one?
