Is there a brand of brass you stay away from?

Some of my friends reload and I recall them telling me they stay away from a different brands of once fired & new brass when reloading for 45acp. Is there some brands you stay away from and what are your experiences?

+ 1 on amerc I would also stay away from steel case any cases with small pistol primers or berdan primed as the last three will give you GRIEF if you use a progressive press. Also some cases have thicker walls. The thin wall cases "TZZ, Remington,REM-UMC" to name a few with slightly undersize bullets many 230 grain Ball bullets are .450 will give you problems if your resizeing die is on the large size. If you can push the bullet down in the case with finger pressure it is too loose. Cheers perry shooter "PRAISE THE HARD-BALL GUN"
