brass identity/history

I bought a large lot of 38 special brass here on GB and in the process of cleaning,sorting, and sizing, I have found some headstamps I've not seen before. I've only been loading for 40 years and live in the sticks but haven't even seen these names mentioned in magazines. The headstamps run from Amerc to Zero but the ones I'm asking about are Amron, Harrington, and HiPer. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

    well theres your problem. you have only been reloading for 40 years! I have been reloading for one, and ran across several headstamps on .45acp I never seen before[:)]

    HiPer is I beleive Hiper Vel ammo, the other 2 no clue.

    I have no idea if they are related but one of my RDIASs was made by Amron of CT.

    Hi-Per is the High Performance Ammunition Co. of North Carolina. They dealt in commercial reload and new ammunition back in the 1970s. Long out of business, but brass doesn't wear out very fast.

    I think Amron made cases with the Browning headstamp back when they had a house line of ammunition, as well as under their own name. I do not know their current status.

    Never heard of Harrington brass.
