can you use 38spl./357 dies to load the 380 acp?

    The 380 is 355 diameter bullets Your 38 special / 357 Mag dies may not size small enough to hold the proper .355 bullet tight enough to keep it from pushing back in the case when it hits the feed ramp of your 380 barrel . NOT A GOOD THING if loading hot loads to began with as when bullet is pushed back chamber pressures go WAY up.

    Why not just buy a set of 380 acp dies, you can usually find them on the auction side for a good price. Huge difference in case length and so you will be readjusting the dies all the time.

    thanks guys. was just wondering, seeing how i have the other ones. and yeah i`ll buy them if if im going to shoot them alot. was thinking of getting the ruger 380 lcp. anyone have one?

    The Rger 380 isn't something you will shoot a lot of rounds through. If you want something to shoot the 380 ACP in, get the Beretta 84...the gun and you will will handle it better.

    the ruger LCP is more expensive, but no better than the Kel-Tec .380. The LCP is getting all the publicity, but don't think the Kel-Tec isn't worth considering.
