I have experimented extensively with reloads for my Warthog .45ACP. In my experience, all Short action .45's are finicky about what you feed them. This one is as well. I have had the best success with Hornady HP-XTP bullets. I have reloaded 185, 200 and 230 grain. They feed without a problem in my gun. I had to experiment with seating depth to find what would work for me. I have experimented with various Sierra and Speer bullets and haven't been able to get them to feed reliably. I have also tried Xtreem copper plated 230 grain round nose bullets. I have 2-3 mis-feeds in every magazine wtih them. It will just have to be a matter of trial and error to find the bullet and the seating depth your gun likes. Good luck.

A friend had one, and at ten yards he couldn't hit a target at all. He checked the pistol, and I checked the pistol, and then I tried some of my 230 gn factory ammo. I couldn't hit the target either. After much work, I found that only light bullets worked well in his. We got it down to a two inch group at ten yards using 180 gn hollowpoints and Win 231 powder. Try some light bullets and some fast powder.

So far I have 4 different factory bullets and 1 lot of 200g semi-wad cutter bullets that I have reloaded. All shot well, with no hang ups, but all shoot low. I will find a good load for the 200g bullet. Maybe some others have some more info I can use. Thanks Peddler
