9mm ejection issue

I have a Ruger P95DC that I recently handload for.
I shoot 115 gr bulk FMJ with 5 gr of Unique.

The shells eject maybe 6" and basically just drop out next to me.

My Federals and Magtech factory rounds fly about 4' away.

They all feed well and accuracy is acceptable, but I'm worried that it might fail to eject or feed if I don't make sure my grip is tight.

I want absolute, no fail operation.
Should I increase the charge a bit?

You need more recoil impulse or a weaker recoil spring . I don't know Rugers but one good test in a 1911 pistol is to load and fire one round if the slide does not lock back the slide did not fully cycle and you need a stronger load of weaker spring. I have 1911 springs from 10 pounds to 20 pounds to match what load I use.

I seems to me that I can drop a few more grains of powder much easier than locate a recoil spring.

The slide locked back 90% of the time.
Funny thing though, I'm well over the starting grains load and within 1.3 grains of Max.
The feed ramp is polished, chamber opening too, and the gun is very clean.

I'd kick it up to 5.5grs. That's the starting load that I found. 6.1gr. is 1,185fps.

I use the Lee AutoDisk and found a combo that drops 5.2 gr of Unique. It works perfectly! I also found on another forum, that Unique thru the Auto Disk, throws light, so I upped the disk diameter.
I am good to go!
