Gun show prize screw up..

I heard the neighbor way down the road shooting yesterday, and was wondering what was going on because he rarely shoots at all. Not sure what it was but it sure was loud...
A while later I hear the driveway alarm go off, so I went to check and here comes the neighbor with his grandkid thats in his 20's..
They handed me a few empty Factory Federal 25/06 cases and asked if I had a clue as to why they looked like that right out of the rifle [:0]
After a complete checkout it seems his newly purchased $150.00 gun show rebarreled Mauser has the tightest, shortest chamber I've seen in a while.. the ends of the case were being swaged into the throat enough to cause the problem, close to .016 to long for the chamber.
A little trimming and they seem fine now..

Found out later that the bottom of the receiver had a crack in it, on the flat right up to the recoil lug..
The stock is pretty well beat up, and the interior of the barrel is pretty well toasted...
Just a $150.00 screw up from what I see.......
"Tie a Rope on it and use it for a Boat Anchor!!!!" [:D]
