223 federal brass for ar 15

joesjoes Member Posts: 484 ✭✭✭
I have read in other forums that some have had issue with 223 federal brass in AR's. They are stating the primer pocket, after the first loading begins to open up and the primers tend to pop out. I have not experenced, this has anyone else?

For a short period of time there were instances of Federal 223 primer pockets spitting out primers. I had this happen once. This was due to a run of softer-than-usual brass. The problem seems to have been corrected and have not heard anything from my competition buddies concerning any further problems. Any new Federal 223 brass you acquire should be just fine.
