I have a set of rcbs 505 scales is a set of ele. scales better to have?

I have been using a beam scale but want to get a electric scale,are they very accurate.I have never used one.Thanks in advance for any info you guys post.

I find my RCBS 1500 combo to be very accurate, and fast.

Beam and electronic scales both have drawbacks and weaknesses. Both are subject to errors from static electricity or drafts, for example. But you cannot misread a digital scale the way you can accidentally set a beam poise in the wrong detent and get a false balance.

Digitals will display weights to a tenth of a grain. If the actual weight is between tenths, the scale will "dither" back and forth between tenths. If the scale detects a problem with itself, it will flash or otherwise indicate that there's a problem. That's very comforting.

Both beam and digital scales are more than accurate enough for reloading. Do get one that's meant for reloading so it weighs to the right kind of grain weight (avoirdupois).

had a digital and went back to balance. to long to warm up and wasinconsistant

I have an RCBS that I've been using for over 10 years with no problems. Very accurate and consistent with no warm up time. If it broke today I'd buy another one. There is no model # on it, even on the bottom but I know it was made by PACT. They still sell the same model.
