shootuadealshootuadeal Member Posts: 5,292 ✭✭✭✭
i was gonna start reloading 44 mag but the only bullets i found are 240 cl-sil. it stands for crimp lock siloutte. would these be suitible for hunting or only for target. hornady's website doesnt have any information. any help appreciated. i will probaly load up at least a 100 of these anyhow just for practice but i wanted the 240 xtps for deer.

These would work for target use. A siloutte bullet is made to knock down metal targets and is not made to expand.

If you have a local gun range nearby someone who shoots 44mag may work out a trade with you. the bullets you have are getting harder to find. How many do you have?

i have 200 of them. no real local "range". i live in a town of about 2200 people. my range is in the farmyard i live. i know a couple of people of that i could maybe swap with. when i first bought that gun a guy loaded up 200 xtps for me so maybe i can swap with him i guess.
