Can 270 Winchester ammo be fired through a 270WSM rifle?

    NO. Different cases, 270 Winchester is made from 30-06 and .270 WSM is from .300 WSM . Bullets are same diameter, but thats about all they have in common.

    No. Very different round! Somebody may come along and post exact specs or pictures for you, but it short no. One is a standard long action cartridge, the other is a Short Magnum cartridge(shorter and fatter).

    ... and before you ask: No, you can't shoot EITHER of them in a 270 Weatherby, either. Or Vice-versa.
