If you are loading a 240 gr LSWC with a gas check using 296 @25grains. This is very fast in fact 1430fps. With a gas check will there be lead buildup in the forcing cone? I have shot this load in my super redhawk and man the presure is like no other. I almost makes me duck for cover. Is shooting this load dangerous to me and the gun? If lead builds up in lands and with the pressure created with this load is it a safe load?

I do not use 110 or 296 for the 44 Mag due to it's very narrow load range. I prefer 2400 because I have more choice on MV.
Generally speaking; lead bullets can be driven a lot faster than a jacketed bullet of the same weight. The engraving forces are less and the lube eases bullet passage down the bore.
