7.62x39 Brass

BLACKJACKBLACKJACK Member Posts: 472 ✭✭✭
I came across 100 rounds of 7.62x39 brass that has the headstamp: K*P and 7.62x39. Does anyone know who the manufacturer is. The brass looks good and the necks are swaged or annealed. It looks like it takes large rifle primers. Don't know where I got it from. I closed my shop about 3 years ago and am still finding stuff from storage.
Thanks for any info

It is Kaltron-Pettibone. They are the importers of Vihtavouri and Lapua reloading products, http://www.vihtavuori-lapua.com/about.php . Several years ago Kaltron-Pettibone had a bunch of Lapua brass marked with their head stamp of K&P.

It is excellent stuff, Identical in every way to Lapua except for the headstamp.

Yes, it takes a large rifle primer, as does most all 7.62x39 brass except the older Rem. which took a small rifle primer.
