Homemade powder trickler

Anyone make a homemade powder trickler? I was thinking of trying. I don't need anything fancy and thought if I could easily save myself 15 bucks (I'm cheap) it would be worth it.

    Use a bottlenecked rifle case. Fill 1/2 full with powder, tilt on side and slowly turn. It is very easy to control, and cost is nil. I use a 243 case myself.

    I use a 12 ga. shotgun shell with the crimp part cut off [:)] just cut about 1/2 " off of an empty shell .

    I do have two tricklers in there boxes , RCBS , if you want one I'll GIVE you one , E-mail me and its your's FREE of any charges [8D]
    I'll even pay the shipping just to help out a fellow reloader [;)]

    You are welcome for the links. I use them all the time. Works even better when you have access to a copy machine![;)] I have a stack of targets about 2" thick. I'm too cheap to pay $0.50 for something you are just going to put holes in anyway. A few days ago I was at the range and gave someone several targets as he forgot his. He tried to pay me for them but I wouldn't let him.

    Thanks for the shotgun shell idea. I'll have to try that as well.

    Also, thanks for the trickler offer. Let me try the shotgun shell idea first before you send anything my way. Besides, I'd feel obligated to send something your way in return.[;)]

    I have a couple of PDF's with a few scaled targets. I can't figure out how to get them posted here so if you want them let me know by posting here or send me an email. I shoot them fairly often with the 22.

    With all the targets on the links at the other thread , I'll never have to buy targets . I'm lucky enough to have access to a lazer printer at work , and the boss is OK with printing some out now and again .

    The offer still stands for the trickler , like I said , I have two , in there boxes , and they're only collecting dust . No need for anything in return .

    Yep, lost one eye, only got three fingers on my left hand, can't hear too good either, but I saved $14.92 by making my own powder measure. Eddie

    For years, I used a paper envelope with a cmall cut at one corner - pour in a small amount of powder, hold over scale and tap tap...

    Later, I started putting my favorite loads on the envelope...

    Still use that method today, after nearly Fourty years.
