what is a good single stage press kit for a novice(me) to start out with? looking to get everything i need to start. what is a reasonable price? thanks for any help

    I can't think of anything negative about any single stage press. They are all good. If you are budget minded, I would go with Lee.

    Look at the Lyman and RCBS kits. They have everything in them to get you started.

    Lee classic cast. If you want to go on the cheap, the Lee Anniversery kit with their Challenger press- though the challenger has a weak toggle link. It should hold up for years but will eventually fail (and the replacement costs a princely $5 or so)

    I have used an RCBS Rock Chucker since the early 70's, and highly recommend this single stage press (and dies.) I had a part break on me about 3 months ago, called RCBS, and they immediately mailed me a new part at no cost.
