"Extreme" powder from IMR

I see IMR has a new powder coming out, 8208 XBR, that will not be affected by temp. I believe someone on this sight said it was only a matter of time.

8208 has actually been around for quite a while, but never as a canister powder until now. It was and is highly prized by benchrest shooters, who got their hands on it as a fairly small lot of surplus powder. It is SO well thought of that IMR decided to bring it out.

So-called "temperature insensitivity" is more marketing blather than anything of real value. Even those that claim such a benefit don't claim it for all cartridges, all loads or under all conditions. It doesn't even work both ways: hot to cold and cold to hot.
    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.

Hogden made the extreme powders,..then they purchased IMR,..so it was only a matter of time before IMR had extreme powders as well.

They are not "unaffected" by temp changes,.they are affected to a "lesser degree"
