I'm still using RCBS Lube with the Lube Pad. Anyone here use dry graphite lube?

This is a poll to see what the favorite case lube is??? Thanks!

Well, there's Hornady "Unique" and Imperial Sizing Die Wax. I can't think of a reason that anyone would use anything else (and see/hear a lot of whining from those that try the "other" kinds)

I used one shot for a while. And got some stuck cases. And wasted a lot. And got my tray all gummy.

Switched over to Lee lube diluted in rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle. Works better, is cheaper, and cleans up with water.

STP works well too- the fuel additive. But requires tumbling or immersion in boiling water to remove.

Do you rub that on your fingers and then just roll the cases on your fingers???

    Eric
That or rub some (1/2 a pea size chunk) into your palms and than "spin" 4-5 cases at a time between your palms

For handgun brass, just a sheen of lube on your finger tips will transfer all the lube you need while simply handling the cases.

Thanks for the tip...do you lube/brush the inside of the necks? I've always rolled my case brush on my pad and done the inside of the case necks before resizing...

One shot, just make sure the new cans are shaken well, seems to work a little better as the can gets lower.

For lubing the inside of the necks I "scrape" a little lube off my palm, on about 1 case in 5. That seems to maintain a slight lube build up on the top of the expander ball.
I've tried brass brushing the necks, and using a mica lube but, don't feel any improvement over the above method. The rifle I load for the most has a headspace setting of -.001 (it won't close on a GO gauge), and I have no issues with pulling the shoulder forward that would interfere with bolt closure.

I've stuck more damn cases with One shot than anything I've ever tried..
Reddings Imperial Sizing die wax never caused that problem, ever...
I tiny bit on a finger will get the job done quickly, and a paper towel will remove the excess.
Never saw a need to use anything else.

Imperial sizing die wax is THE BEST. One tin lasts damn near forever.

    That stuff is good.

Eric, I've always used a case neck graphiter made by Forster's.

I use Dillon spray lube. I buy it by the case. When loading rifle I also use a graphite applied to the inside of the neck with a neck brush. When I am done, I tumble the loaded cartridges for about 10 minutes to remove any grease feel on the ammo.

STP and Kerosene. Powdered graphite in cup full of shot for inside necks. Roll cases on STP mix on lube pad then dip an occasional case neck in the cup with shot mixed with powder graphite. I wipe the finished ammo with a cloth to remove the lube. Never had any issues with this process.
