Hornady .360 round ball

hdcolt51hdcolt51 Member Posts: 4,585 ✭✭✭
Trying to find some .360 round ball.Used up what I had, cannot find anymore.Checked the Hornady website but they only list .350 and .375.
I load these in 38 s&w as they are the most accurate of any cast bullet for my lemon squeezer.
Thanks,HD

Try some hollow based 148 gr .358" wadcutter bullets in your 38 S&W. I have the best results with those. The skirt spreads and seals the bullet to the rifling. Seat them about 2/3s of the way in the case. I have used the .360" balls that I cast with a Lee mould, but have better accuracy and ease of loading with the HBWCs.

Sir: Purchase Hornady triple ought (000) buck shot. It is the same size as Hornady .36, comes in a larger package at a more economical price. bronsht

Just a note: I do not know how to edit a post, so...
The Hornady I was writing about is pure lead for muzzleloading/black powder. You probably want some antimony in your smokeless loads, you might disregard my previous post. bronsht
