Rock Chucker Primer Catcher-Photos-Where to find

sigarmsp226sigarmsp226 Member Posts: 2,461 ✭✭✭
Guys - Need your help.... The two photos below show a primer catcher that came with my Rock Chucker Press - The "A" type catches every primer - But I ordered another one for a press my buddy has and the bowl type does not catch a single primer because the primers fall out of the back side of the ram rod on the Rock Chucker Supreme Press not the front...Where can we purchase the "A" type primer catcher...I have not been able to find it at GB auctions, MidwayUSA, or NatchezSS. I really need the "A" style catcher not the "round C type"...Help appreciated....Thanks Mark

    Mark,
RCBS has made several different versions of the Rockchucker press. The top picture is not the current version, I think it was called the Rockchucker II; the primer catcher on the bottom picture is for the current version of Rockchucker. Ask for the primer catcher for the Rockchucker II. If all else fails call RCBS, they have them.

Thanks 5mm - I went onto the RCBS web site and could not find the item so I sent them a email. I am sure I will hear back from them soon. Thanks again.....Mark

    Sig,

Email me your mailing address and I will send you one off of my rockchucker supreme. You will have to get the small primer cup for it but the primer arm has never been used

    Mark,

I have sent RCBS emails and the answers are hit and miss...a good old phone call works the best.

If you call RCBS, most likely they will send you one no charge. Their customer service is very good.

If you get the horseshoe-shaped one, here's a simple mod that makes life a lot easier. It drains primers into a can or wastebasket.

    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.
