180 grain bullets in the 357mag

Is anyone shooting them?
How is accuracy compared to 125's and 158's?
Have you hunted with them?

I picked up a couple boxes of hornady 180gr .357 hp/xtp for a good deal at a gun show awhile back...havent used them yet and would also be interested in loads that work with them. I had a buddy that shot metallic sihouette and used 180gr bullets out of his Dan Wesson 8" 357. Sadly he has passed and I never got around to asking him for his pet load for the 180gr.

I have been using 170 and 180 grain bullets in 357 since my silhouette days. I always used 296 powder. I would not hunt white tails with it in a hand gun as I believe it is not enough gun. Now that we can hunt with pistol caliber rifles in Indiana my brother has used this load with great success in a rossi lever.(he also uses a 20 gauge...what a light weight)[:D] Accuracy is excellent and felt recoil is not much different than the 158 loads.
