Do a google search and you will come up with lots of info about puff lon!

I've played with fillers, to hold the powder against the primer for reduced loads for rifles! Never got any good results when using fillers! (I have not tried puff-lon!)
I found a powder that usually produces good consistent accurate results for reduced loads in several rifle calibers without using fillers. Its Accurate 5744. Do not use or try this powder unless you find it listed for your caliber in a REDUCED LOAD reloading manual or contacting Accurate for their recommendation! I ALSO used it in a couple of calibers that are not listed in reload manuals after I received load recommendations from Accurate!

Good stuff. In some applications it improved accuracy. I found it worked best using medium burn rate powders in large cartridges- for instance 4895 in my 45/70. It can also be used to make reduced blackpowder loads as it takes up the air in a cartridge. Don't buy what they say about not having to clean afterwords though. That's ok with smokeless I guess but not black powder.
