375 JDJ

I recently bought a new 14" barrel for my contender in 375 JDJ. I would like to start loading for it , but I can't seem to find dies for sale and load data is very scarce . The only dies that I can find are 375/444 , are they the same ? Any help would be great ! Thanks.

This site will have some info you may find interesting. You can also order the dies there. http://www.sskindustries.com/cartridges.htm

    gene4570,

The JDJ line of cartridges is proprietary to J.D. Jones and his company, SSK Industries. J.D. can be a difficult man to deal with and he protects his property.

When folks want to get around his rights to control his design, they use a different designation for the dies while making them match the JDJ chambers. This is true of the '.300 Whisper' which uses the .300/221 dies. There are a couple of variations of this cartridge which can cause a small problem but you should ask if the dies are meant to be used for JDJ chambers.

    So your choices are:

Buy the dies from J.D. Jones at his inflated prices.

Buy the .375/444 dies not knowing if they are a direct match.

    Best.

    gene4570,

I recommend calling J D or sending an email to him. I have purchased three sets of 375 JDJ dies from him within the last couple of months (for grandsons). He is a very interesting character & very knowledgeable. In addition, J D has additional loading data for the SSK bbls in 375 JDJ. If yours is an SSK, ask him for these data.

Bet you love your 375. Mine shoots groups as well as any of my contender bbls even using the 220 flatpoint bullet.

    Good luck.
