30-06 Load, need some help!

Just bought a Tikka T3 30-06. I have brass and 200 bullets of 190 sierra Matchking HPBT. My question is I have IMR 4895 powder and can't seem to find a 190 gr bullet load for it. Anyone have one or should I buy different powder like HL22? Or maybe someone could help out a fellow reloader and give me their recipe for a proven load for their 190 gr 30-06? Thanks

Their accuracy load is IMR-4350 52.4gr with the 190gr SMK
First of all, you should already know that one of our loads will probably not provide the same accuracy when used in your rifle.
My load is a tad hotter than some others simply because of the way I chamber and the brass I use. So I won't pass mine along either.
The basic load range can be found on Hodgdon/IMR/Winchester Powder website. They use the 190 Hornady but it will get you started at the lowest powder weight. Just work up as you would with any other new bullet powder combination.
I will pass along the fact that IMR-4895 is a tad faster than I would normally recommend for a heavy bullet, .30-06 load.
Best.
As noted above go to the Hodgdon (IMR too) website. Start here:
http://data.hodgdon.com/main_menu.asp Read the warning, then hit "I agree". Select rifle. Then go to 30-06 and select IMR 4895. Notice they don't give a recipe for 190 gr. That's because, really, the powder is too fast with that weight bullet for that case. It holds about 63 gr. total of powder. When you reduce to 45 to start with, you've almost reduced the powder load by one third. It just doesn't work out efficiently. However, if that's the only powder you have or want to use, I recommend starting at 43 gr. and moving up from there. You can run a 2x2 ladder in 1 gr. increments (5%=.8 gr.) up to about 46 gr. From there I would proceed at half that interval. If you see signs of pressure stop and note the load. The military load is 48 gr. of 4895 behind a 150 gr. bullet. Two things with that. Powder speed needs to be faster to work correctly in the M1 Garand. Two, you are adding over 25% bullet weight so you really should consider reducing powder speed and increasing volume as well.
FWIW, in mid-weight bullets 4350, any flavor, is your best powder. 4831 is next in line. RE-17 is about the right speed for your case. And you can jump to RE-19 or 22 as you go heavier. VV N-150 to VV N160 or 500 counterparts work well too.

What are you looking to shoot with it?

On the 190gr HPBT my book shows 49gr of IMR 4320 to test the most accurate in their tests with that being the max and 44gr being the starting load The 49gr shows to be 2631fps from the test barrel
If you want versatility use 406, since my book shows loads with it and bullet weights from 110gr up to 220gr and right behind it in versitility is 4320 and 4350 but not in all weights like the 4064
I agree a 30-06 is a great all around cartridge and so versatile. My pet loads use IMR 4064 to push 150gr SST at either 2980fps or 3100fps from a 22" barrel. both loads give single hole accuracy at 100yds in my Rem 7400. I only use the hot one for hunting at our big stand at my parents house where I could potentially have a 400yd shot. You'll love that aught six, prolly won't use teh 270 or 308 after you get a load found
