Variety Packs?

D@DD@D Member Posts: 4,407
Does any body sell a variety pack of reloading bullets? I'd like to try different grain bullets without having to buy 50 or more at a time. Say 10 to 15 rounds and 4 or 5 different grain weights a pack.

Never heard of such about bullets!
I would like to see someone make a variety pack for rifle powders in about 1/2 pound increments for working up accuracy loads for a rifle so as guy would not have to purchase 1lb jugs just to test a powder for vel and accuracy!

Yes there is; not sure of the name but there is a company that has custom sample packs of different bullets for you to try. I will look around and see if I can find their name.

Oregon Trail will send samples of their handgun cast bullets.
Don't know of any other makers.

Thanks but I'm only needing .308,.310 and .312.

Was it these guys by chance?

I was just turned on to them. If only they had .310 and .312 for my AK's and Mosin's I'd be alright.

Hodgdon used to market variety packs of powder. They had packs for varmint, medium and big game cartridges. They sold poorly - possibly because they took up a lot of retail shelf space and ate into fire laws that limit the amount of powder a store can display. Hodgdon discontinued them years ago.
    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.
