Looking for a new type case cleaning media

Some time ago I read about a new cleaning media that lasts very long time. It is a hard pellet sized media, not walnut or corn coob. It is sold in the Southern California area in 55 lb bags. Its a little expensive but does a great job on brass casings in a short period of time. Does anyone out there know how to find or contact this place??????

Sounds like you're talking about ceramic media. Do a search and you will come up with some outlets. Cabelas comes to mind.It aint cheap.
    Rice works good too.

If you don't put cases with sizing lube on them in your tumbler walnut will last for years .

+1 on the walnut media. Anyone have a better method for cleaning sizing lube off cases? I use old dirty walnut media now. I've tried the liquid cocktail - vinegar, water, soap, lemon juice. But, I don't like waiting to dry the brass. Wiping down by hand is tedious in bulk. Would rice be better than walnut for removing lube?

I might have to give wheat or barley a try at only a couple bucks a bushel. [:D][:D][:D]

Go to your local pet store and buy crushed walnut shells in bulk!! They sell it for like $4-10 for sizes up to 25lbs. Use it until it turns to dust, throw the old out and fill with new!!!

We tried the pet store stuff [V] Is too corse for 223 brass. Plugs it up very bad [:(!]
Rice only works to give the brass a bright shine, it doesn't clean very good.
