I would like to get an idea of which brass to reload with and why?

I have and have used both - the only difference I see is the price.

They're both excellent. Just don't mix them up in a single batch and you'll be satisfied with either or both.
    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.

Both are very good. Starline seems to be less expencive.

Seems to me that Star Line new brass needs less work, the OAL is correct. I've always had to trim Winchester. If I have a choice, I'll buy Star Line everytime.

Starline handgun brass IMO, is superior to Winchester

I note in pistol brass the Starline is more consistent in wall thickness and OAL (as stated above). One advantage with the thinner wall Starline is that in tight chambers or a little oversize bullets you have more to "play with" on tol. Winchester brass seems a little heavier and thicker at the base, but I haven't actually measured it.

Love Winchester components, but if given the choice for a competitive load, I choose Starline. For general shooting, mix whatever your gun can shoot.

I have been using starline pistol brass for 20 years; Good stuff. WW in pistol is good too.
Neww WW rifle brass is good, however, I recommend you trim to the "trim to" length before you start reloading if you want consistency. I have personally noted varing case lengths between .001 & 012 in new brass, especially the magnums.

I shoot starline in my pistols. Could not be happier.
